The Jungle Book Crosses Rs 48 crore in 5 Days Box Office Collection

The Jungle Book Collection : The Jungle Book was below average on day one as film was hit by big cricket match. Film was expected to grow on 2nd day and film just did that. Film had growth almost across the table and then despite cricket match, film scored big Sunday. Now with strong steady Monday and holiday boost on Tuesday , film is heading towards good run at box office. In India, it scored the second biggest opening day for a Hollywood film, earning $1.51 million (behind Avengers: Age of Ultron) from around 1,500 screens and went on to score the second biggest Hollywood opening weekend of all time film with $8.4 million, behind only Furious 7 in terms of local as well as U.S. currency.

The Jungle Book 5 Days Wednesday Collection

Film collected around 48.04 nett on day one from 1500 screens which was good but not great considering the match effect. Film grew by 20% on day two and collected 21 cr nett. Film further added 16.87 cr nett on Sunday which was again slim growth over Saturday despite IPL 2016. Film dropped by just 33% and collected 7.60 cr nett on Monday. Film got benefit of Navaratri holiday in few areas and collected close to 6.8 cr nett on Tuesday.

Film has collected 48.04 cr nett in 5 days. Overall film looks to score 65 cr nett week one and that is excellent for a newcomer like Varun Dhawan. Film also collected 1.65 cr from overseas market which was average. In the United States and Canada, pre-release tracking suggests the film will open around $60–70 million, with female and older male quadrants being the prime draw.
